Rain checklist

There was a hailstorm here in Dubai, first time ever that I’ve seen a hailstorm. Or well second time actually, I remember we had a hailstorm back in Grade 5 (I think it was Grade 5) during our Arabic exam. Aah, all of us went crazy, no one was interested in writing the exam anymore. The water started coming in through the little cracks by the window and we were made to move. What fun!

Anyways, getting back to the current storm, wow, when it started the kids in my building went crazy, they came out screaming with joy. gelakguling It didn’t last very long though, but it did keep raining and that too so heavily. Sigh. Rain makes me happy. And dreamy. love

When it’s drizzling, I just want to go for a walk on the beach, barefooted of course. Turn up my jeans a little, sandals in hand, hair open and walking against the wind, little droplets of rain falling all around me. Amazing. sengihnampakgigi

And when it’s raining heavily, I want to go out and get completely soaked, do the tango (I’m watching too many movies I guess jelir) and just get wet.

If there’s a thunderstorm, I’d still want to get wet, but then I’d like to come back in and cuddle up next to a fireplace with a warm mug of hot chocolate. And watch the sky lighting up.

My rain checklist is something like this:
• A mug of hot chocolate: It’s an absolute must.
• Boots: Boots are another absolute must.
• Open hair: It’s torture to tell me to tie my hair in such weather, absolute torture. sedih
• Lots of nice dreamy thoughts: Not like I have any shortage of such thoughts on normal days, jelir but rainy weather is amazing inspiration for such thoughts. sengihnampakgigi
• Music: Nice music, and somehow in rainy weather I want to listen to Indian and Pakistani music not English music like I usually do.
• The corniche: It calls to me in such weather. And not softly either, it shouts and screams for me. jelir

What about your rain must-dos?

  9. Ahhh. This rain dream thingy is way too special you know. A walk on a beach. A hot coffee in the hut. View of the sea. Then sitting on the beach in the rain. Talking to yourself. Thanking nature for being so beautiful. Would prefer bryan adams or keith urban for the slow music. and would wanna feel each and every drop of rain, on my face. making me feel alive.
